General Summary:
Responsible for procuring supplies and services within the scope of business'policies and procedures to support
the business' manufacturing operations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Responsible for effective coordination of material planning and purchasing to ensure timely delivery of manufacturing product.
• Assures accuracy of the ERP database of suppliers of products used in a manufacturing process.
• Prepares orders to vendors as directed for raw materials, packaging materials, components, services, supplies, and related material/service needed for production.
• Checks scheduled delivery dates and makes initial contact with suppliers on late deliveries.
• Escalates issues and notifies appropriate personnel/management as appropriate.
Specific Tasks:
• Manage multiple suppliers/services for production via PO placement and scheduling.
• Assist other Buyers with running VMI reports, Open PO Reports and Metrics
• Responsible for managing master data and Bill of Materials within the ERP database.
• Resolving AP issues for the suppliers.
