About Midnight:
IOG's Midnight Tribe is a business technology provider and core contributor to the Midnight Network, a blockchain platform for developing decentralized applications that safeguard personal and commercial data. The Midnight Network is the first blockchain to offer programmable data isolation by leveraging zero-knowledge (ZK) proofs to enable selective disclosure of what information is visible on-chain and is designed to help developers implement necessary business policies, such as meeting regulatory requirements.
What the role involves:
As a proactive and detail-oriented Events Coordinator, your focus will be on delivering engaging virtual and in-person events that connect with the broader Web3 ecosystem, not just the Midnight community.
You will help identify key opportunities for Web3 ecosystems’ community events, developer meetups, hackathons, and larger activations while supporting event logistics, content coordination, and production. This position is ideal for someone early in their events management career and with some experience and enthusiasm for Web3.
Key Focus Areas
- Community Events Scouting: Research, identify, and connect with different ecosystems event organizers.
- Ecosystem Meetups: Coordinate with partners to host developer and community-focused meetups.
- Virtual Events: Produce, and host events on platforms like Discord, X Spaces, online meetups, and metaverse environments.
- Side Events: Assist in the production of Midnight-branded side events at major conferences.
- Larger Events: Provide operational and logistical support for conferences and hackathons.
- Hackathons: Support the Developer Relations (DevRel) team with event coordination.
- Partnership Events: Collaborate with BD and Partnerships teams to execute co-hosted or sponsored events.
- Swag Management: Work with design team and vendors to produce and distribute event-specific merchandise.
General Duties
- Build and nurture partnerships with Web3 ecosystems and communities to support event initiatives.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events and drive attendance.
- Develop event budgets, track expenses, and ensure alignment with financial goals.
- Report on KPIs and post-event outcomes, identifying areas for growth and improvement.
- Support large-scale events by assisting the Events Team with production, logistics, and swag coordination.
- Stay updated on trends and emerging opportunities in the Web3 and blockchain event space.
IRL Events
- Plan and schedule participation at small-scale events (community events, side events, hackathons, and meetups) worldwide.
- Manage end-to-end logistics, including venue coordination, vendor management, swag production, and AV needs.
- Provide on-site event management, including troubleshooting issues and ensuring a seamless experience for participants.
Virtual Events
- Support with producing virtual events on platforms like Discord, X Spaces, YouTube, and other relevant tools.
- Identify and coordinate speaking opportunities for Midnight talent at Web3 ecosystems’ events, webinars, and meetups.
Who you are:
- Experience working on events targeting developers or the blockchain industry.
- Familiarity with virtual event production tools and platforms (e.g., StreamYard, Discord, YouTube Live).
- Basic experience in vendor management and event logistics coordination.
- 1–2 years of experience working in a Web3 company, ideally in event coordination or marketing.
- Familiar with planning and supporting both virtual and in-person events.
- Strong project management skills: able to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and stakeholders effectively.
- Resourceful problem solver with creative thinking and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the maturity to interact professionally with colleagues and partners.
- A team player who is results-driven, proactive, and adaptable to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Willing to travel internationally and work occasional evenings/weekends based on event schedules.
