About the position:
We are currently seeking an experienced Engagement Manager who will primarily focus on our largest strategic client and ensure the success of our engagements as well as continue to grow the account to ensure a continued and successful partnership. The Engagement Manager will be responsible for managing client relationships and ensuring successful delivery of services. As a key member of the team, the Engagement Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables, timelines and budgets are met, while maintaining high client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and project/program management skills, experience working in a fast-paced enterprise environment, and a passion for delivering innovative solutions. They will also have financial services domain experience and will need to develop a deep understanding of our client’s business.
Roles and Responsibilities:Client Relationship Management
- Identify, establish, and maintain relationships with key client stakeholders on assigned engagements
- Lead a regular cadence of meetings with clients to review project status, action items, and deliverables
- Provide regular status updates and feedback to internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain high standards for customer satisfaction and communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their concerns and inquiries about both the industry and Ippon’s capabilities
- Collaborate with clients and pre-sales team to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables
- Upsell and expand current client relationships by expanding network, building trust with high-level executives, ensuring top-notch delivery and communication, and getting involved with their strategic efforts
- Track, report, and act on key account metrics, such as revenue growth and client retention
Project/Program Management
- Develop and manage project/program plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Identify and mitigate project risks and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner
- Prepare and present project closure documentation as needed
- Serve as a billable consultant performing project or program management responsibilities
- Optimize and negotiate resource allocation to maximize project efficiency
- Work with Technical Lead to assign responsibilities within the project team, and set clear expectations
Strategic Planning and Growth
- Understand the client's business deeply, including their challenges, opportunities, and industry nuances. Utilize this knowledge to provide tailored solutions and recommendations
- Identify and drive account expansion strategy
- Own the creation and documentation of the strategic account plan including client goals, business understanding, and an implementation plan for account growth
Client Success & Team Building:
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and present proposals to clients
- Serve as a mentor to the project team around communication and stakeholder management
- Promote the brand and foster sales leads by organizing or contributing to thought leadership (written or verbal) opportunities including conferences, events, or blogging
- Lead with hunger and curiosity - ask appropriate questions to help move the team forward and to ensure we understand stakeholder needs
- Anticipate potential issues and create structure in the midst of ambiguity
- Ensures the Ippon delivery playbook is followed and provides feedback and ideas on enhancements to our process
Competencies we are looking for:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of applicable experience
- 5+ years of experience as a PM in IT consulting or related industry
- 3+ years of experience as a PM supporting technical product roadmaps and strategies
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills; comfortable pivoting between both business and technical teams
- Proven experience in a client-facing role in the IT Services industry
- Proven knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices, with a focus on client satisfaction
- Proven experience with enterprise-wide dependency management
- Deep knowledge and experience in Agile coaching and practices
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Experience working in or strong familiarity within the financial services domain (enterprise experience with a large fin. serv. company preferred)
- Familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA, Asana or Motion
- Familiarity with cloud-based solutions, such as AWS or Azure
- Prior experience in Product Management, Project/Program Management, or IT Strategy
- PMP or CSM Certifications a plus
- Availability to visit client site (McLean & Richmond, VA) and Ippon Office (DC or RVA)

$115,000 - $140,000 a year
