Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources (HR) Coordinator is a key member of the HR team and is primarily responsible for performing general day-to-day transactions to support HR operations in a manner that maintains a productive workflow and provides vital support to the HR team, managers and staff across the organization. As the initial point of contact for employees, this role is performed on site and is primarily responsible for triaging requests for HR services, providing initial timely responses to email, calls and service requests in our people and service focused environment.

Interacting with all levels of employees and management, and building strong relationships with all stakeholders, the HR Coordinator ensures that employees and managers receive accurate and clear information, and experience coordinated HR services aligned with established best practices and policies. Deploying a balance of flexibility, graciousness, results orientation, drive and discipline the HR Coordinator primarily ensures transactions occur timely and effectively, and participates and assists in the administration and organization of various HR services, procedures, and special projects as assigned.

This is a regular, part-time, 20 hour per week, non-exempt position. Offering great perks, this is a hybrid position; some essential duties may be performed remotely, while some requires in-person/on-site presence, and a competitive starting pay rate of $21.00 – $26.00 per hour.
The pay rate offered will ultimately be determined by relevant qualifications, experience, and JCC's internal equity.

Education and Experience: Requires an Associate’s Degree in Business, Communications or related field, and 3+ years’ administrative experience in a professional office setting (preferably in Human Resources). A Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of Human Resources experience is strongly preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted at the JCC’s discretion to meet minimum criteria. Must be adept with software and systems, such as HRIS, payroll, and benefits administration platforms and have strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Suite Web-based products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

· Confidentiality and Discretion: Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and to effectively discern when to divulge employee information with the understanding of what information is privileged and confidential, and who should and should not know the information
· Excellent organizational and administrative skills, attention to detail and time management skills
· Ability to handle multiple tasks and requests, and determine priorities maintaining a positive and helpful attitude
· Superb interpersonal and active listening skills
· Excellent customer services skills; ability to manage situations effectively and diplomatically and ask for help, guidance or clarification when needed
· Agile with the ability to adapt to evolving and changing circumstances and needs
· Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)
· Must be able to work well with others, building/sustaining strong collaborative relationships
Physical Requirements: Able to focus and produce in a busy, dynamic and sometimes noisy environment involving multiple tasks and priorities. Able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 30 pounds (supplies, files, archive boxes etc.). Able to sit for long periods of time and able to bend, crouch, reach to manage physical personnel files.
