Role and Responsibilities
- As Jenni Kayne Put away Lead, Equipment Operators - Drivers for Jenni Kayne your primary responsibilities include the following:
- Responsible for the execution of all Put away functions for the facility, including proper handling and system transactions
- Responsible for the execution of pallet consolidation inventory transfers to open up pallet positions within the facility
- Responsible for executing Cycle Counting activities in Backstock locations
- Responsible for communicating instructions to associates while maintaining a positive team engagement
- Ensure that the performance goals are set and achieved, through the proper execution of performance metrics as it relates to Productivity, Safety, and Quality.
- Ensure all policies and procedures are followed
- Responsible for documenting the performance, conduct, and behavior, as well as the teamwork observed for any employee assigned to your team
- Ensure that all inventory counts and systems transactions are executed accurately
- Participate in inventory physical and cycle count efforts as necessary.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse
- Act as a Role model in safe work practices and encourage others to do the same
- Follow good warehousing practices and encourage your team to do the same including:
- Safety/Surroundings: Follow required safety practices including being aware of your surroundings and walking only in approved areas. Work safely around moving machines like forklifts, mobile carts, and robots
- Organization/Supplies: Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area while ensuring all supplies required to complete your job are restocked and accounted for.
- Housekeeping/Trash: Maintain warehouse cleanliness. Everyone is required to clean up after themselves in the employee breakroom and bathrooms.
- Other Duties as Required: We are a team which means you will be asked to help out in other areas out of your normal day-to-day responsibilities to ensure the operations are running efficiently.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
- 1+ year of experience working with computers including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Must be punctual and available to work overtime as needed
- OSHA Forklift certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program is required within the first 30 days of employment
- Dock/warehouse experience loading and unloading trailers and building pallets
Preferred Skills
- 1+ year of leadership experience directly managing others
- 2-4 years working in a like environment (manufacturing/distribution/warehousing/large retail)
- Experience with performance metrics and lean process improvement
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to coach, train and assist team members
- Ability to count with accuracy and perform tasks as trained with attention to detail
- Dedicated team player, hard-working, trustworthy, and responsible
- Commitment to excellence and a great attitude
- Bi-lingual in Spanish and English
Physical Requirements
- Able to perform physical activity including, but not limited to, sitting, standing, bending, stooping, lifting (up to 50lbs), and walking for your shift (up to 80% of your day)
- Use carts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other gear to move items around
- Ability to maneuver through storage racks, trailers, and other areas of the warehouse.
- Ability to operate equipment found in a distribution center environment including, but not limited to, material handling equipment such as Reach Truck, Stock Picker, Forklift, and Pallet Jack.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment (i.e. exposed to hot, cold and changing temperatures, medium noise level not requiring protective equipment, and dust, dirt and changes in lighting)

The annual base salary range for this position is $40,000 - $41,600. The base salary is determined by experience, education, skills, and location.
