Inside Sales Representative Overview:
As the Inside Sales Representative – Physical Security, you will be responsible for qualifying inbound leads, nurturing prospective customers, and supporting the outside sales team. You will play a key role in converting initial interest into qualified sales opportunities while managing recurring sales operations such as agreement renewal, system certification, and break/fix quotes. This position requires strong communication skills, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment.
Inside Sales Representative Responsibilities:
Lead Qualification & Development
· Respond to inbound leads and inquiries from marketing campaigns, website forms, and referrals.
· Engage potential customers via phone, email, and video calls to assess needs and qualify sales opportunities.
· Work closely with the outside sales team to hand off well-qualified leads for further engagement.
Pipeline Management
· Maintain accurate records of lead interactions and progress in ConnectWise (our PSA).
· Track and report on lead conversion rates to help optimize the sales process.
Proposal & Quote Support
· Assist in preparing quotes, proposals, and agreements for qualified opportunities.
· Manage recurring sales operations such as agreement renewal quotes and follow-up communication.
Customer Engagement & Relationship Building
· Educate prospective customers on the benefits of our cloud-managed security solutions.
· Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a seamless experience throughout the sales process.
Collaboration & Process Improvement
· Work closely with sales leadership, marketing, and technical teams to improve lead qualification and conversion.
· Provide feedback on lead quality and sales process improvements.
Inside Sales Representative Qualifications:
· 1-3 years of experience in inside sales, sales development, or customer-facing roles (preferably in technology or security solutions).
· Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to build rapport quickly.
· Experience working with a CRM or PSA system (ConnectWise experience is a plus).
· Ability to understand technical concepts and articulate them to customers effectively.
· A proactive, results-driven mindset with strong problem-solving skill.
