Assistant Financial Controller

K3 is a leading provider of business‐critical software solutions focused on fashion and apparel brands and related large retail brands. The Group’s solutions comprise a number of applications authored by K3 and also third-party products that have been enriched with K3 software. These solutions provide customers with comprehensive, end-to-end capabilities that enable them to have greater control over their operations and real-time oversight of their businesses.  The Group operates through two divisions, K3 Products and Third-party Solutions.

The Third-party Solutions division comprises of delivering services to IKEA within the BU Global Accounts. Global Accounts includes the Group’s relationship with Inter IKEA Systems B.V. (the owner and franchisor of the Inter IKEA Concept) and the Inter IKEA Concept overseas franchisees. As well as supporting the core Microsoft Business Central IKEA solution for IKEA franchisees, K3 assists IKEA franchisees with their local enhancements, business change and IT infrastructure. This includes help with integrations and system enhancements, which is key to the smooth functioning of franchisees’ IKEA stores and back office solutions.

Job Summary

K3 are looking for an experienced Finance Resource to join as an Assistant Financial Controller for our Global Accounts business unit, located in The Netherlands. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day finance operation for the Global Accounts business unit (including our subsidiary in Singapore). The role holder will need a good level of technical accounting knowledge and good understanding of management account reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement structured credit control processes and support escalations within the team
  • Production of monthly management reporting to K3 Group
  • Prepare commentary with comparison to budget and forecast
  • Attendance at group finance reviews
  • Completion of monthly cash flow forecasting
  • Maintain detailed balance sheet reconciliations
  • Control sales order processing
  • Supervise customer contract database maintenance
  • Reinforce best practice purchase ledger processing
  • Processing of payroll journals and payments, including taxes
  • Prepare VAT submissions and payments
  • Prepare production of annual budgets and quarterly forecasting for the business unit
  • Consolidated reporting for the business vertical
  • Staff management
  • Continuous process improvement
  • Key liaison for annual audit
  • Work with Finance Manager, Commercial Finance Director and Management Team to provide operational financial support, reporting and guidance where required

·        Good level of technical accounting knowledge

·        Confident managing own and team workloads to meet deadlines

·        Comfortable challenging and analysing financial data

·        Good understanding of intercompany accounting and consolidation
