Unit Clerk for Inpatient Unit: Part Time

Part-time position: The unit clerk is a support position that needs to be highly motivated and detail oriented. This position performs delegated receptionist and clerical duties under the direction/supervision of a registered nurse. Communicates and interacts with other patient care team members to facilitate delivery of care in a manner which promotes patient safety and respects patient’s rights and dignity.

Hours:

Part-time, 20-25 hours a week and will include working every other Saturday.

Computer experience and typing skills required. Verbal and written communication skills are required. Ability to deal with stress is a necessity in dealing with subordinates, employees, physicians, their office staff, and vendors. One year in a previous hospital setting required.

Education:

Requires a high school diploma (or GED). Graduate of a Unit Clerk Education Program and/or on the job-training program. Current BLS certification required.
