Business Development Manager- Architecture Firm

We are a well-established architectural firm with 40+ years of industry experience, currently undergoing significant expansion. With operations spanning multiple countries and a diverse portfolio of projects, we are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive our ambitious growth strategy.

Job Summary

The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be directly responsible for driving exponential growth in sales and revenue across our portfolio. You will focus on aggressively expanding our client base, identifying and pursuing high-value opportunities, and ensuring the retention and satisfaction of existing clients. Reporting to the COO, you will be a key driver of top-line growth, with a relentless focus on increasing sales, securing new clients, and building long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Maximizing Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Drive aggressive sales strategies to achieve rapid revenue growth, targeting new business opportunities within government, property development, and commercial sectors
  • Establish and pursue monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
  • Lead in identifying and capitalizing on emerging markets and new project opportunities
  • Develop innovative approaches to generate new client leads and secure contracts
  • Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers across target industries

Client Acquisition & Retention

  • Focus on new client acquisition with a clear strategy to bring in clients from government, property developers, and commercial brands
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with both new and existing clients
  • Manage and expand the firm's client portfolio, developing deep relationships that position the firm as the go-to solution
  • Proactively engage with clients to understand their future project needs
  • Optimize CRM processes to track client data, leads, and communications
  • Maintain a robust and continually expanding sales pipeline
  • Identify and pursue new revenue streams, including untapped markets
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics including revenue growth, new client acquisition, and client retention

Sales Leadership & Team Performance

  • Set clear sales goals and performance metrics
  • Provide hands-on leadership and support, coaching the team to generate new business opportunities
  • Encourage a results-driven, high-performance culture
  • Directly participate in preparing and leading high-stakes sales presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Architecture, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in business development
  • Proven track record of sales and revenue growth in the architecture/engineering industries
  • Experience working with government agencies, property developers, and commercial clients
  • Strong CRM system management experience
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • English and Spanish language proficiency (non negotiable)
  • Competitive base salary of between $80k to $130k (commensurate with experience)
