Our Transportation Consulting firm enhances transportation and infrastructure via strategy, advisory, planning, and design. The Consulting Head of Sales & Implementation drives revenue growth and oversees project execution, blending sales leadership with project delivery to ensure a seamless client experience. Responsibilities include developing sales strategies, generating new business, and managing project delivery teams for quality outcomes and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Identify market trends and client needs for growth.
  • Maintain client relationships and ensure satisfaction.
  • Lead negotiations and manage contracts.
  • Manage the business development pipeline and set sales targets.
  • Originate client leads and develop aligned pitches.
  • Oversee transportation consulting projects for timely, budget-compliant delivery.
  • Monitor project performance and address risks proactively.
  • Standardize delivery methodologies for efficiency.
  • Manage project portfolio and track milestones.
  • Provide strategic leadership to sales and delivery teams.
  • Enhance team capability through planning and development.
  • Set performance metrics for staff.
  • Coach on client management and project hand-offs.
  • Identify performance gaps and implement improvements.
  • Collaborate on sales, delivery strategies, and integrated efforts.
  • Determine technical scopes and pricing strategies.
  • Drive service innovation and branding initiatives.
  • Oversee project budgets for profitability.
  • Negotiate pricing strategies for favorable outcomes.
  • Report on sales and project performance metrics.
  • Identify cost optimization opportunities while maintaining quality.
  • Enhance team efficiency to secure project margins.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's degree preferred, MBA is a plus)
  • Over 10 years of experience in transportation consulting
  • Minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership position with a demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth
  • A well-established network of contacts within the transportation industry
  • Proven track record in scaling sales organizations, boosting revenue, and meeting sales objectives
  • Experience overseeing large, complex projects across multiple industries
  • Extensive knowledge of industry trends, challenges, and opportunities within the transportation sector
  • Proficient in sales with a successful history of developing and executing effective sales strategies
  • Experience managing client relationships throughout the entire sales and delivery process
  • Strong skills in negotiation, communication, and interpersonal relations
  • Familiarity with sales processes, CRM platforms, and sales analytics tools
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% in a hybrid work setting
  • Attractive base salary ranging from $220,000 to $280,000
  • Incentives based on performance
