Associate Sales Representative Intern

This position is accountable for helping the local territory team(s) – supporting sales activities and customer support. This position contacts and consults with a variety of clients in a mixture of clinical settings. Work performed will be hands on including working directly with the sales team to observe customer interactions and sales support, service, and training initiatives. Insights based on experiences and observations will be considered when implementing changes and designing new programs.

At the conclusion of the internship, the intern will have a clear understanding of how their studies directly contribute to and how they translate into the medical device industry.

This is a part-time summer internship position (less than 30 hours a week) working with the Sales teams at Kestra.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Attend, observe and support presentations to physicians and hospital stakeholders to persuade potential clients to use the Assure Cardiac Recovery System.
  • The primary call points are to a variety of customers including general practitioners (GPs) hospital physicians, nurse practitioners (NP’s), Physician Assistants (PA’s) and nurse managers.
  • Support and partner with the local Territory Manager(s).
  • Responsible for helping Kestra sales professionals manage Assure Patient Specialists (APSs); educating customers; in-servicing local health care professionals and support staff; and working with select service agencies on fitting needs and protocols.
  • Establish and maintain effective channels of communication with Territory Manager and Sales Management
  • Adhere to Pledge of Confidentiality
    • Information regarding a patient of this company shall not be released to any source outside of this company without the signed permission of the patient. Furthermore, information will only be released internally on a need-to-know basis. All Team Members will not discuss patient cases outside the office or with anyone not employed by this company unless they are directly involved with the patient’s case.
  • At the conclusion of the program, conduct a Final Presentation to the Executive Leadership Team detailing the program experience and learnings, professional and personal development, showcasing accomplishments and contributions to Kestra during the program.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience Required:

  • 2nd year or higher undergraduate degree
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills Preferred:
  • Degree studies in business or sciences
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Analytical mindset
  • High attention to detail and data urgency
  • Must be able to achieve credentialing for hospital system entry including, but not limited to:
    • Documentation of vaccination and immunization status
    • Pass background check
    • Pass drug screening testing
    • Review and agree to hospital policies and procedures
    • Completion of online courses, i.e., HIPAA, Bloodborne Pathogens and Electrical/Fire Safety

INTERNSHIP ELIGIBILITY

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past 6 months
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment with Kestra Medical Technologies
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Must provide own transportation to/from work
  • Must successful complete and pass a criminal and employment background screening that meets the allowable FDA requirements and is in accordance with EEOC rules and regulations
  • Must successfully pass a pre-internship drug screen

WORK ENVIRONMENT

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Frequent repetitive motions that may include wrists, hands and/or fingers, such as keyboard and mouse usage

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted, at times from in and out of vehicle

TRAVEL

  • Frequent travel, domestic and international, may be required, less than 40%
  • Travel to Kestra Headquarters for Orientation and for the Final Presentation at the conclusion of the program

PROGRAM LENGTH

The approximate dates of this internship are March 2025 though September 2025. Interns must be available to work for the duration of the internship

Pay: $25.00/hour

Kestra manufactures and provides life-saving products regulated by the Federal Food and Drug Administration and under contract with Medicare.  Kestra maintains a drug free workplace and testing is a condition of employment.
