Founded in 2008 with 50 students in 5th grade, KIPP Columbus currently serves over 2,000 students in grades kindergarten through twelfth. The mission of KIPP Columbus is to create a system of schools where students develop the intellectual, academic, and social skills needed to understand and take action on issues they encounter in everyday life.
KIPP Columbus continues to rank as one of the top five schools for the academic growth of any school in Ohio and is a top-performing urban school in the state for academic growth. The Opportunity
Reporting to the Regional Director of Operations, the Student Recruitment and Enrollment Manager will serve as the leader of student recruitment and enrollment for the KIPP Columbus campus. This individual leads and orchestrates the yearly lottery process for all incoming KIPPsters, develops the vision and executes the yearly student registration and re-enrollment processes, and manages community outreach opportunities to meet yearly student enrollment targets. Additionally, the Student Recruitment and Enrollment Manager ensures KIPP Columbus complies with all withdrawal and registration requirements.
Responsibilities of the Student Recruitment and Enrollment Manager include, but are not limited to, the following:
Overseeing and executing the yearly registration and re-enrollment process for students;
Organizing weekly regional enrollment strategy meetings that are data-driven and action-oriented;
Assessing the quality of data collected and utilized in the lottery and enrollment process and identifying gaps in existing processes and areas to improve enrollment efforts;
Managing the Student Recruitment and Enrollment calendar by facilitating, and staffing for internal, external, and community-based enrollment events
Leading vendor management with the enrollment system platform, SchoolMint, to ensure service level agreements are sustained;
Managing, coaching and developing Student Recruitment Ambassadors, as well as participate in canvassingServing as an ambassador for our schools and mission by assisting current and prospective families with registration;
Creating and leading School Operations professional development to equip Directors of School Operations to lead school-based Intent to Return, re-enrollment, and retention strategies;
Overseeing student records management, including collecting and archiving records for current students and responding to or initiating external records requests;
Collaborating with the Senior Associate of EMIS and Powerschool to ensure the sync between SchoolMint and PowerSchool happens with fidelity;
Troubleshooting lottery and enrollment issues throughout the year, supporting Directors of School Operations and Student Recruitment Ambassadors with policies, protocols, and procedures
Additional duties as assigned
Graduate of a Bachelor's degree program or equivalent experience
A minimum of 4-5 years' experience in enrollment management or a related field is required
Developed and implemented enrollment strategies with a proven track record of success
Experience leading and managing enrollment teams
Expertise in analyzing enrollment trends and leveraging data for strategic decision-making
An understanding of how to design and execute effective student enrollment campaigns
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
Openness to giving and receiving frequent feedback
Ability to evaluate problems and implement effective and creative solutions
Ability to maintain emotional control under stress
Ability to work urgently in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment
Ability to develop and grow relationships
