Senior Vice President, Engineering

We are currently seeking an experienced leader to manage our growing engineering team. As the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Engineering at Kixie, you will serve as a critical member of the executive leadership team. In this role, you will oversee the strategic direction and operational excellence of our Engineering, QA and AI departments. We are looking for a visionary leader who can drive innovation, build scalable systems, foster a customer first mentality, and align engineering efforts with the company’s long-term goals.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute an engineering strategy aligned with Kixie’s business objectives, ensuring scalability, innovation, and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with Product, Sales, Business Development, Customer Success and Support teams to oversee the delivery of scalable and reliable customer centric software solutions
  • As the Engineering representative, partner with the executive team to develop long-term engineering goals, operational budgets, and resource allocation plans
  • Establish and track engineering KPIs to measure performance, operational reliability, and the speed and stability of software development, using insights to drive continuous improvement
  • Drive technical vision and direction, ensuring Kixie remains at the forefront of emerging technologies and industry trendsDrive the incorporation of AI technologies and strategies to optimally benefit our customers
  • Dive deep into a wide range of technical problems offering suggestions and feedback to your teamUnderstand the customer value driven by sales engagement platforms and related technologies.
  • Be a culture leader within the organization striving to influence through your own personal actions


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 15+ years of experience in software development, with at least 10 years in leadership roles with increasing responsibility within software development or technical operations
  • Proven track record of success in managing engineering organizations of 30+ engineers
  • Expertise in designing, building, and scaling complex technical systems, including backend infrastructure, frontend platforms, and cloud infrastructure management
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.) and modern engineering tools and practices
  • Experience with financial oversight, including developing and managing multi-million-dollar budgets
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences, including executives and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven track record of balancing strategic vision with operational execution, delivering on short-term goals while preparing for future growth
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence


Nice to Haves
  • Expertise in AI/ML technologies, including deep learning, recommendation systems and generative AI.
  • Experience with consumer facing products
  • Experience transforming and uplifting engineering technical stacks while delivering customer value
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools
  • Experience working in a small to medium sized business, where company culture, change, and inspiration come from you and your immediate peers

$300,000 - $400,000 a year

At Kixie, we are committed to fair and transparent pay practices and are happy to discuss compensation expectations throughout the hiring process. That being said, the salary range for this position listed above represents the total compensation, which includes both base salary and performance-based incentives. The final package will be determined on an individual basis and based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, specific skill set, qualifications, and the scope of responsibilities within the role. In addition, the selected candidate will be eligible to receive equity, subject to the terms and conditions of the company’s equity incentive plan.
