Job Title: QA/QC Manager
Location: Various U.S. Project Sites (Primarily Site-Based)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (May include occasional night shifts)
Compensation: 120-150K
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to lead on-site quality assurance and quality control efforts across multidisciplinary projects, including controls programming, electrical installations, and mechanical systems. This site-based role is critical to ensuring safety, quality, and compliance on high-profile infrastructure projects (e.g., airports, TSA facilities) and requires regular travel to project locations.
As QA/QC Manager, you will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure all project deliverables meet regulatory, contractual, and company quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and implement QA/QC systems at active job sites across all disciplines
- Conduct quality inspections with subcontractors and vendors
- Interface with client QA/QC teams to resolve issues and ensure alignment
- Manage incoming materials inspections and QA/QC document distribution
- Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and specifications
- Lead internal/external audits and manage corrective actions for non-conformances
- Track and ensure completion of QC documentation for project handover
- Review project specifications and verify implementation of QC plans
- Lead QA/QC meetings with subcontractor quality staff
- Coordinate and approve technical submittals and inspection test plans
- Maintain technical documentation and ensure up-to-date site records
- Promote adherence to safety policies and procedures throughout the job site
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 years of QA/QC experience in conveyor, baggage handling, or related mechanical/electrical systems
- Proficient in QA/QC inspection procedures and standards
- Familiarity with baggage handling systems is strongly preferred
- Skilled in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and safety
- Ability to travel frequently and work flexible hours, including nights if needed
- Able to obtain airport security clearance
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
