Kong is seeking a data and analytics leader to develop scalable data solutions and provide meaningful insights across the organization. In this role, you will drive key analytics initiatives that support Kong’s finance team, delivering high-quality analysis, implementing efficient data solutions, and shaping the team’s data technology landscape.You enjoy using data to drive meaningful change and are comfortable working with complex datasets from multiple sources. • Metrics and Insights: Develop key metrics, set benchmarks, monitor performance, and build forecasting models to provide actionable insights to senior executives, with a focus on topline business metrics.
• Data Visualization and Storytelling: Create and manage insightful, reliable dashboards and visualizations, effectively communicating key data findings across the organization, including to company leadership.
• Lead Strategic Initiatives: Take ownership of both the strategic and execution aspects of key data-driven projects. Lead cross-functional teams to define, prioritize, and deliver impactful data initiatives that drive business outcomes.
• Technical Leadership: Maintain a deep understanding of data and analytics technologies, collaborating with the data engineering team to assess data availability, identify limitations, and optimize processes that support Finance’s reporting and analytics needs. Guide the selection and implementation of technical solutions for various projects.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead and execute high-priority initiatives by working closely with both technical and non-technical teams, such as FP&A, Accounting, Procurement, Data Engineering, Sales Operations, and Corporate Engineering.

• Over 10 years of experience in advanced data analytics or a related field, leveraging data to derive insights at industry-leading or rapidly growing companies.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one additional data manipulation language (e.g., Python, R).
• Expertise in data storytelling and experience with at least one data visualization tool (e.g. Tableau, Looker).
• Solid understanding of data modeling principles and hands-on experience with ETL processes.
• Proven track record of using analytics to drive business strategy and improve performance.
• Familiarity with financial metrics, with a focus on topline metrics.
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing environments and priorities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across global and cross-functional teams.

• Degree in Business, Statistics, Finance, Engineering, or a related analytical discipline.
• Experience in the Technology or Software/SaaS industries.
• Experience managing high-performing data analytics teams.
