About the Role


We are looking for a dynamic Head of Product – Industry/Markets to lead and scale our SaaS platform’s core product offerings and their adaption to specific energy industry/Market needs.


This role is critical in ensuring our platform’s relevance and competitive advantage across diverse and global utility markets.


The ideal candidate will be deeply experienced in understanding global energy market dynamics, preferably within the utilities sector or a major SaaS business, and will bring an obsession with understanding and serving the unique needs of various energy markets and solving critical energy industry challenges through innovative SaaS solution in both the B2B and B2C segments.


What you'll have
  • Collaborate with the CTO, VP for Industry and Markets, and other product leaders to shape the future of the Kraken products.
  • Define and execute the product strategy for the evolution of our core platform to address key industry challenges, whilst appreciating the diverse needs of regional and market specific features.
  • Own the roadmap and vision for the outcomes we drive at a domain level and within the individual products. Making sure they remain aligned to Kraken’s vision, the needs of our clients and the evolving market we serve. 
  • Continuously analyze product performance, user feedback, and industry trends to identify areas for improvement and innovation within our existing solutions
  • Conduct market analysis and identify opportunities for product differentiation and growth within the energy SaaS landscape.
  • Lead a high-performing team of product managers and cultivate an environment of continuous improvement and a commitment to targeting outcomes over outputs via rapid innovation, using data to drive decision making. to cultivate an environment where high standards, continuous improvement, and a commitment to outstanding results are deeply ingrained in the way individuals and teams operate
  • Partner with engineering, delivery, sales and customer success teams to ensure alignment and execution at scale.
  • Leverage AI and automation to drive intelligent automation, self-service, and optimised operational workflows for our utility clients.
  • Engage directly with clients. Establishing feedback loops with key clients to deeply understand their evolving needs and incorporate their insights into the product development process, ensuring our solutions meet real-world operational and regulatory challenges in utilities


What you'll do
  • A deep understanding and interest in the evolving energy landscape, including market dynamics, regulatory frameworks, and the transition to sustainable energy - for both client operations/agents and end customersDeep expertise in enterprise SaaS, utilities, or large-scale customer-facing transactional platforms.
  • Strong strategic mindset, with the ability to translate customer needs into scalable, high-impact product solutions.
  • Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive alignment across complex organisations.
  • A data-driven approach, leveraging analytics and insights to inform decision-making and improve product outcomes.


This role can be either fully office based in one of our main sites in London, Paris, Tokyo, Melbourne or New York, or remote. However there is an expectation to travel of approximately 10-20%.
