Allow me to introduce you to Kutol Products Company, we are a thriving hand soap and hand sanitizer manufacturer doing more than $58M in sales from our facility in Sharonville, Ohio. We process batches and package liquid hand soaps and hand sanitizers using a variety of chemicals and packaging components. We are currently seeking a Buyer to join us in our purpose of providing “Clean Hands for a Healthy World.” 

At Kutol the Buyer is a critical role supporting our manufacturing plant, and is responsible for sourcing, selecting, and negotiating with suppliers.  This role requires experience with ERP in a manufacturing setting and with high emphasis on managing supply chains as they relate to on-time fulfillment, quality standards, and inventory strategies.  The Buyer collaborates cross-functionally within Supply Chain, Quality, Production, and RD&I to successfully achieve the operational goals of the plant. Actively works with vendors to design and deliver quality supplies and remedy defects when necessary. 

The responsibilities of this position include:

• Review MRP requirements daily to ensure timely ordering of materials that help achieve the plant manufacturing schedule.
• Create, review, and process purchase orders from order entry to payment.
• Foster, develop, and maintain successful, mutually benefitting supplier relationships.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels that align with Kutol’s inventory strategy and Days Inventory Outstanding metrics (DIO).
• Support the Receiving process to ensure all necessary documentation is received from the Supplier prior to delivery.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to arrive at the most cost-effective means to procure assigned goods.
• Issue RFQs and understand pricing and market drivers.
• Work in tandem with Quality to establish specifications and quality standards for suppliers and goods.
• Support the Quality Department in leading Material Defect and CAPA investigations with assigned suppliers while ensuring proper communication with internal parties & departments.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or delivery standards.
• Assist department leadership in assessing and mitigating risk within supply chains while helping develop contingencies.
• Monitor and report on supplier performance trends.
• Work with warehouse staff and Accounting to correct receiving and invoicing variances.
• Use data and data analysis to support goal setting and department metrics.

Education and Experience:  

• Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years related experience, or equivalent related work experience. 
• Strong familiarity with ERP/MRP software and logic.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (i.e. Word & Excel)

A review of performance will be made after three months, and performance and compensation reviewed on your one-year anniversary.
