Business Operations Director

Last Energy is seeking a highly organized, adaptable, and results-driven Business Operations Director to drive operational excellence and manage critical company-wide initiatives. This role will work closely with the CEO and department heads to align business priorities, facilitate cross-functional coordination, and ensure the timely execution of key projects. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, self-sufficient leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is equally comfortable managing both high-level strategy and detailed execution. This position reports directly to the CEO. 

• Partner with the CEO and department heads to align the company roadmap with business goals, coordinating the execution of high-priority initiatives to ensure timely completion
• Ensure key projects are delivered on time by resolving cross-functional dependencies, aligning resources, and addressing roadblocks proactively
• Facilitate effective communication across teams and with the CEO, providing regular updates on progress, deliverables, risks, and challenges
• Provide clear company-wide updates through weekly standups, biweekly newsletters, and other channels to ensure alignment on goals, progress, and key accomplishments
• Lead the creation of quarterly board decks, gathering insights and updates from teams to present a cohesive report on strategic priorities
• Coordinate operations across global subsidiaries by facilitating strategic meetings, resolving operational challenges to support local CEOs, and ensuring effective communication between international teams and headquarters
• Oversee key operational processes, including insurance program management, vendor contracts, process improvements, and policy updates, while ensuring compliance with internal standards
• Lead special projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and timely, effective delivery

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in business operations, program management, project management, or a related role
• Proven experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work cross-functionally
• Proactive, self-sufficient, and strategic, with a focus on execution and results
• Experience in the energy or clean tech sector, with a solid understanding of the unique challenges and dynamics within this industry, is highly preferred
