Job Description: Director of Sales
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales to lead our B2B sales efforts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of selling technical products, managing high-performing teams, and driving revenue growth. Experience in the K-12 education sector is highly preferred. This role requires exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and the ability to manage a team of 10-15 sales professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership:
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve organizational revenue and growth targets.
Lead, mentor, and manage a sales team of 10-15 members, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
Set team goals and KPIs, monitoring performance and providing actionable feedback.
Business Development:
Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the B2B market.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
Stay ahead of industry trends to position the company as a market leader.
K-12 Market Focus:
Leverage knowledge of the K-12 education sector to tailor sales approaches and strategies.
Develop partnerships with educational institutions, school districts, and other stakeholders in the K-12 space.
Product Expertise:
Gain in-depth knowledge of the company’s technical products to effectively communicate value propositions to clients.
Collaborate with the product development and marketing teams to align sales efforts with product offerings.
Operational Excellence:
Manage sales operations, including forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
Drive continuous improvement in sales processes, tools, and methodologies.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
Experience:
7+ years of sales experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
Proven experience in B2B sales; familiarity with the K-12 education market is highly preferred.
Strong background in selling technical or software products.
Skills:
Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
