QA Manager/Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Manager/Director to lead our quality management system (QMS) in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality leadership within the aerospace or defense sector, with proven expertise in AS9100 standards and continuous improvement practices. This role will oversee all QA processes, ensuring compliance, product integrity, and customer satisfaction.

• Lead and manage the Quality Assurance department, including quality engineers, inspectors, and document control staff.
• Oversee and maintain the company’s AS9100-compliant Quality Management System.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for quality audits (internal, customer, and third-party certification audits).
• Ensure compliance with all customer, regulatory, and industry-specific standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as root cause analysis, CAPA, Six Sigma, or Lean methodologies.
• Analyze quality metrics and trends; develop action plans to address issues and enhance performance.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to implement quality controls and corrective actions.
• Develop and implement quality training programs for employees at all levels.
• Manage customer complaints, returns, and non-conformance investigations.
• Maintain calibration programs, inspection procedures, and documentation control.
• Evaluate supplier quality and assist with supplier audits and improvement efforts.
• Create and manage quality-related documentation, including inspection plans, quality manuals, and SOPs.
