Job Summary:
We are seeking a Supply Chain Manager with experience in the Department of Defense (DoD) manufacturing industry and a strong background in procurement, supplier management, and logistics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain, ensuring compliance with government regulations, industry standards, and contractual requirements. This role is critical in managing supplier relationships, optimizing procurement strategies, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and components for production.
Responsibilities:- Supply Chain & Procurement Management:
- Develop and execute supply chain strategies that align with company objectives and DoD contract requirements.
- Oversee the procurement process, ensuring compliance with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and other government regulations.
- Manage relationships with key suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring cost-effective procurement.
- Lead supplier selection, qualification, and risk assessment to ensure quality, delivery, and performance standards are met.
- Logistics & Inventory Control:
- Optimize inventory levels, demand planning, and material forecasting to support production schedules.
- Implement lean supply chain principles to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Work closely with logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of materials while maintaining compliance with government transportation regulations.
- Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure all procurement and supply chain activities comply with government regulations, contractual obligations, and internal policies.
- Manage export/import compliance related to DoD contracts, ensuring adherence to ITAR and EAR regulations.
- Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations, addressing any risks related to supply disruptions or compliance issues.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership:
- Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and finance teams to align supply chain strategies with business goals.
- Lead and mentor the supply chain and procurement team, driving best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain efficiency, cost reduction, and supplier performance.
