About the Team
Our Sales & Pre Sales Engineering team is growing at tremendous pace. We are looking for a Sales Engineering Team Manager based in Salt Lake, Utah. LearnUpon is looking for an experienced Sales Engineering leader to join as Global Team Manager. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the SE team and managing our most strategic prospects.You will be working hand in hand with the Head of Sales engineering and You would be leading a team of 3 sales engineers with room to grow further.
What will I be doing?
- Become an expert in the LearnUpon platform, our product integrations & become an expert in the Learning Management System space.
- Lead a team of talented sales engineers while maintaining the team's standards and driving technical excellence within the sales process.
- Partner closely with Sales, Product Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Success to achieve regional revenue goals each quarter.
- Improves process and eliminate bottlenecks by working cross-functionally in order to get deals across the line using your strategic deal management and technical skill set.
- Identify and make recommendations for improvement in the areas of process, efficiency, and productivity.
- Act as a principal IC when necessary who will drive opportunity success for strategic prospects through the sales process.
- Identify and promote prospects agenda, requirements, and needs internally.
- Contribute to the enrichment of the knowledge by documenting and/or publishing relevant content that needs to be shared with others.
- Identify team members' strengths and weaknesses and improve them by different initiatives, empowerment, training and other tools and processes.
What skills do I need?
- Pre-sales experience in a SaaS/Cloud environment, selling enterprise software to business users & executives.
- Demonstrated ability of coaching and employee development experience.
- Excellent customer facing and relationship building skills.
- Outstanding techno-functional capabilities, comfortable owning the technical sell on relevant opportunities with the sales team.
- Business value focused mindset to uncover prospect’s business challenges and develop solutions to solve them. Demonstrate value from Admin to Executive level.
- Have worked on a successful team from the early stages and be ready to roll up your sleeves and do it again.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-starter who manages their time effectively and prioritizes what’s important.
- Knowledge of other common apps, e.g. Salesforce, MSDynamics, SAML SSO Providers.
- Proven track record of success.
- High level of business acumen and understanding of how revenue leaders think.
- Operates with integrity and respect in everything they do.

Not required but considered a big plus
- Previous experience in eLearning, HCM or Digital Saas technologies is highly valued.
- Experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL is very good to have but not a mandatory requirement.
- Experience with embedded systems, iframes and web components.
- Experience working with and mapping out integrations to HRIS, CRM, BI Tools and other common eco system applications.
- Experience of working within a company that has scaled ARR to >$100M.
- Ability to travel for prospect and client meetings.

What is the Hiring Process?
Applicants for the position can expect the following hiring process:
- Qualified applicants will be invited to an initial a 30-minute call with our Talent team.
- Successful candidates will then be invited to a 60m interview with our Head of Sales Engineering.
- If successful, candidates will be invited to deliver a 1-hour task-based panel presentation to demonstrate their practical skills.
- Finally, candidates will have a short interview with our CEO.
- Finally, successful candidates will be contacted with an offer to join our team!
