Legion Campus Outreach Associate - job 2 of 2

About Us:

Legion (M/WBE-Owned Certification) is an award winning, history-making outreach consultancy specializing in deploying boots on the ground and phone outreach with a data-centric backbone.

From sales outsourcing to public pressure campaigns, we deploy canvassers and callers to identify, interact, and influence. Our unique combined might: marrying military discipline, Fortune 500 tactics, and political science. We create and maintain agile and disciplined operatives at every level who can work a political campaign one month, then a real estate persuasion or corporate sales project the next. Our targeting and data acquisition capabilities allow us to model ideal targets and reach even the most remote people. Legion’s team claims major victories: COVID-19 frontline outreach, spearheading the nation’s largest curbside composting program, and winning political swing districts.

That’s why unions, politicians, government agencies, developers, hotels, and even movie theaters all trust Legion.

About the Role:

We’re on the hunt for a driven, well-connected student who is currently enrolled at a NY college/university to recruit door-to-door canvassers from their campus. You’ll leverage your network and campus connections to partner with student organizations, clubs, and advocacy groups in order to drive recruitment for Legion Outreach Consulting, focusing on mobilizing students who are passionate about political and social causes.

Your outreach will be conducted exclusively at your university, organizing info sessions, building relationships with campus leaders, and recruiting fellow students to join our canvassing team.

You must be currently enrolled at a NY college/university  to be considered for the position

Key Responsibilities:

  • Student Recruitment: Leverage your influence on campus and your digital presence to rally students for political canvassing opportunities. Whether through social media or personal connections, you’ll be the driving force behind recruiting passionate advocates.

  • Training and Onboarding: Gain access to comprehensive training that equips you with everything from recruitment scripts to professional marketing materials. You’ll have all the tools to track, manage, and onboard new recruits with precision.
  • Performance Monitoring: Stay ahead of recruitment goals by tracking your progress and helping drive the success of the overall program. You’re not just a recruiter, you’re a key player in pushing this initiative to new heights.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled at NYC college/university, with strong connections to student organizations or a track record of leadership that makes you a key player on campus.
  • Active and engaged in clubs, student government, Greek life, or advocacy groups—you know how to rally people and lead with purpose.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, paired with a genuine passion for political or social causes.
  • Experience in recruitment, canvassing, or organizing events is a huge plus—you’ve already proven you know how to mobilize people and make things happen.
  • A strong social media presence or any quantifiable influence (leadership positions or social capital) is highly preferred.
  • Embody Legion’s core values of being: Reliable, Relentless, Professional, Scientific, and Genuine
  • Willingness to learn
  • A personal commitment to excellence in all walks of life & work
  • USA work authorization required
