This role will be based in Mountain View, Carpinteria, New York City, or remote.

The Content Manager, Business Skills, will develop and execute the content strategy for business skills and frameworks. As a member of the Content team, the Content Manager will build the strategic and cross-functional plan for serving the target audience; set the vision, goals, structure, and roadmap for their content plan; identify and recruit instructors; build instructor relationships; collaborate with the Production team to create content; and work with partners throughout the organization to ensure the overall success and visibility of the program.
Responsibilities:
Content creation and planning
Drive, develop, and execute the overall strategic plan to build tools and soft skills content for the Business Skills audience, all based on the educational and aspirational needs of current and future members. Evaluate and evolve all aspects of this plan, including continually reviewing feedback and analytics; researching current and evolving educational needs; performing ongoing competitive analysis; attending industry conferences as needed; and developing a network of partners.
Identify new topic areas and learning format opportunities to expand the footprint and impact of the Business library for a global English audience.
Recruit, assess, and retain the best possible instructors to execute the content plan, including acquiring high-profile instructors and partners, coaching instructors for long term success, and managing long-term relationships by maintaining consistent communication (feedback, questions, and content suggestions); negotiate complex contracts and instructor compensation in collaboration with the Legal team.
Partner with cross-functional teams on the execution of the strategic content plan, including hitting overall targets for the amount of content signed and published, as well as securing a steady flow of content to key audiences.
Pilot projects that have business impact; share learnings with colleagues and drive for quality improvements throughout the program.
Communication and collaboration
Partner with marketing, sales, business development, and product teams to grow membership and engagement; includes educating and supporting those teams to further company and content goals, as well as developing and contributing to the development of marketing and sales-oriented educational content as needed.
Evangelize and champion business content internally to ensure that the company is prepared to discuss our expanding library and its direction; includes developing, tracking, and sharing metrics and success criteria for segment performance.
Evangelize the library externally through blogs, videos, podcasts, social media, and other communication channels, as well as live events as appropriate.
This role will require some travel.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of experience acquiring content, negotiating legal agreements, and managing instructor relationships and publication of educational business content.
5+ years of experience managing multiple projects in various stages of the product development cycle.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
A passion for education and a desire to champion member needs and drive for instruction integrity and learner engagement. Naturally entrepreneurial and thrives in a fast-paced environment of ambiguity and change.
Respected within Sales, Customer Service, and Marketing segments among industry peers; a deep existing network of potential partners and business contacts.
Experience in leading teams, fostering growth, and driving collaboration, with a strong interest in further developing leadership skills.
Embodies the best elements of our corporate culture and helps set the standard for the team.
Excellent software skills, including prior experience with Microsoft Office and Google applications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the proven ability to work well with high-profile instructors and brand partners and help them improve while hitting both high-quality standards and challenging deadline targets; persuasive verbal and written communicator, including the ability to present before groups of all sizes and to executive leadership; experience collaborating across continents is a plus.
Willingness to work on a flexible schedule when needed for meetings.

The pay range for this role is $97,000 - $156,000. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
