The Confidential Computing Consortium (CCC) needs a skilled, technical advocate to accelerate and promote the adoption of confidential computing technologies and security best practices. In this role, you'll guide open source projects towards greater security and maturity, mentor contributors, and represent the CCC at conferences and in the broader software security community.
Facilitate adoption of security best practices e.g., OpenSSF Best Practices Badge, OpenSSF Scorecard, OpenSSF baselines, etc., across the CCC project portfolio
Facilitate project maturity by maintaining the Project Support Matrix and work with the TAC Liaison to encourage projects to write blogs, record demos, participate in the mentorship program and present at conferences.
Gain technical understanding of CCC projects such that you can describe the projects, their capabilities, and use cases at conferences and help recruit adoption and contributions
Coach new contributors and mentor all in becoming better open source contributors
Assist in the production of community events and serve as the Foundation’s technical expert presence at third-party events
Represent CCC projects at conferences, including speaking and presenting as required
Tell the world about our work via blog posts, social media, and other channels
Help identify and recruit beneficial projects into the CCC
Identify and champion areas of interoperability and solutioning between and among projects of the CCC and other foundations to promote and encourage accessibility and use of confidential computing technologies that address adopter use cases and security objectives
Confidential Computing: concepts and demonstrated software implementation experience
Software Security: concepts and demonstrated experience
Open Source: culture, governance, practices, concepts and demonstrated experience
Git: source control concepts and git command line competence
Technical writing: demonstrated experience breaking down complex, specialized topics into easy to understand, relevant and actionable information, communicating security and technology(ideally software security) concepts to general audiences that lack experience in security or are unfamiliar with confidential computing
Public speaking: experience speaking at conferences on technical topics in an engaging manner, participating in technical panels, and staffing booths at conferences while advocating for contributor participation in confidential computing projects.
Salary $80,000 - $100,000 USD
