Technical Lead (Microservices, Node.js)

Overview:

LivePerson Voice is a state-of-the-art, born-in-the-cloud SaaS offering. Our Cloud platform is a multi-tenanted solution hosted on GCP using a modern technology stack. Most of our cloud software is deployed as microservices written in Node.JS on top of a NoSQL DB stack (MongoDB, Firebase, ElasticSearch). Our telephony connector layer is a mixture of ASP/.Net and Java code.

The customer facing app is written in TypeScript using the modern Angular framework. It is deployed in several different contexts including as a Chrome extension, Electron desktop applications for both Windows and Mac, and embedded in a number of CRMs (including Salesforce) in an iFrame.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead scrum teams of software development engineers and perform hands-on development work
  • Design and develop high-volume, low-latency, enterprise scale applications for mission-critical systems and delivering high-availability and performance
  • Manage the projects by running daily scrum, perform the task assignment, tracking, impediment removal and enforcing the definition of done.
  • Own the feature timelines by working closely with developers and deliver as committed to the stakeholders.
  • Take the responsibility for creating and consolidating project timelines with risks, and communicating overall program health in a periodic manner
  • Coordinate product deployments and releases management cycles, working with the field, CSMs, account teams and brands in all 3 regions (EMEA, NA and APAC)
  • Track service levels (SLA) and schedule adherence, and ensure the individual teams meet and exceed their performance targets.
  • Work together with cross regional teams in the US and Europe to coordinate and deliver engineering products.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of  industry experience building successful large scale production software systems
  • At least 2+ years of experience as Scrum master/Project manager, owning end to end delivery of software products by defining projects, collecting requirements, writing detailed functional specifications, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule, and deploy new features sets
  • Experience in development of Microservices, RESTful API, backend systems
  • Experience writing code with TypeScript, Javascript, Node.js or equivalent frameworks.
  • Experience building applications using NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
  • Code repository and deployment pipelines - GIT, Docker and Kubernetes
  • Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills
  • Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or another quantitative field.

You should be an expert in:

  • Agile methodologies like Scrum and General project management - MUST
  • Backend Web Frameworks -  NodeJS (5 years) - MUST
  • Experience building interactive UI with Angular/Vue - MUST
  • Experience with Git - MUST
  • Experience with Kubernetes - MUST
  • Experience in AWS/GCP or an equivalent cloud solution - MUST

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Certified Scrum Master or PMP - Preferred
