This role focuses on creating demand, securing new clients and new bookings and managing the customer relationship before transferring over to our sales team. This position engages in pro-active business development, networking, and lead generation.
The BDR is the primary point of contact for newly developed prospects as you bring them through the sales process and you may also serve as the communication point between your customer, project manager and other internal and external stakeholders depending on the nature of the new business.
Consultative sales experience is a must.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Business Development Representative
Creatively prospect and secure new client opportunities.
Partner with Sales team with qualified lead handoffs.
Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
Maintain a pipeline of interested prospects, consistently updating prospect interaction and results in CRM system.
Actively prevent opportunities from going dormant by maintaining a presence with new contacts and encouraging escalation within contact organizations.
Maintain and grow knowledge of target industries, opportunities, and competitors.
Creatively identify new markets, products, and sources of revenue as well as provide recommendations to the organization.
Interact and collaborate with internal team members including sales support, marketing, other business development representatives, client success managers, project managers, program managers, subject matter experts, and senior management as needed.
