Power Bi Developer/Data Analyst

McLane Intelligent Solutions is seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying impactful business intelligence solutions using Power BI. In this role, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their analytical needs and create dashboards and reports that provide meaningful insights for data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and analysis solutions that effectively communicate business insights.
  • Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business units to collect, organize, and analyze data from various sources.
  • Design data models and establish relationships between data sources to optimize report performance.
  • Implement data transformation processes using Power Query and DAX for effective data analysis.
  • Monitor and optimize Power BI report performance and manage user access and security settings.
  • Provide training and support to users to encourage effective use of Power BI tools and resources.
  • Stay informed on the latest Power BI features and best practices to continuously improve reporting capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to ensure seamless integration of Power BI with other data platforms and applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role focused on business intelligence solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, and data modeling.
  • Experience with data visualization best practices and dashboard design.
  • Experience with Microsoft D365 F&O or AX2012, Azure Synapse, Logic apps, Microsoft Fabric is a must.
  • Familiarity with SQL and experience in querying databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, etc.).
  • Ability to analyze complex datasets and present insights in a clear and visually appealing manner.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders.
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as Azure, is desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
