As a Technical Mobile Lead on the Mobile team, you will manage the full technical life-cycle of building features, fixing bugs, and improving our technology. We find it immensely satisfying to develop products that impact the lives of millions, and we are eager to have you join our team.   

About the team 

With over 20 years of industry experience, our mobile development team incorporates the latest mobile development technologies like Swift UI, Jetpack Compose, React Native, and Flutter, providing technical expertise to ensure success in all phases of the software development lifecycle. Our experts develop outstanding native and hybrid mobile apps for smart sensors, medical equipment, thermal imaging cameras, building automation systems, farm equipment, and many others. 

• Manage and build a high-performance team of dynamic and talented engineers to create world-class mobile educational experiences 
• Manage client expectations and ensure alignment with project goals 
• Research and adapt functionality to leverage existing Mobile design patterns 
• Architect and design scalable and maintainable software solutions 
• Work with project managers, designers, and QA to maintain and surpass product usability and quality standards 
• Empower and motivate the team, fostering enthusiasm, growth, and professional development 
• Enable efficient delivery of invaluable iOS and Android applications supporting learners and tutors in the ever-evolving education landscape 
• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of the Mobile applications 

• 2+ years of experience as a Mobile Lead
• 6+ years of experience as a Mobile Native Developer
• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• Expert level skills in iOS and/or Android development 
• Prolific knowledge of Swift and/or Kotlin is a plus 
• On-site position only (California) 
• Experience publishing apps 
• Familiarity with back-end development 
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing 
• Excellent understanding of managing limited resources (memory, network, CPU) efficiently 
• Strong communication and time-management skills 
• Exceptional analytical-reasoning and problem-solving skills 
• Versatile and adaptable to changing project requirements and environments 
• Passion for improving education through technology 
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science or a related discipline
