Our Masterton office is part of Meridian Energy, the largest producer of renewable electricity in Aotearoa. Meridian provides Contact Centre services under a contract to Shell Energy (who owns Powershop Australia). We are looking for someone who is hard-working, reliable and passionate about customer service.
Using your great phone manner and enthusiastic approach you will help our customers see the wisdom of making the switch to Powershop, understanding their bills, and utilizing our app and tools to make smarter choices about their electricity and gas usage, support when facing hardship or simply updating their information.
The hours are to be on a roster that fits with all team members and meets the business needs, between 10am-9pm* We’ll even reward you for missing your daily dose of Shorty Street by paying an allowance in addition to your normal pay.

Important Stuff to know - Our contact centre operates between 10.00am and 9.00pm Monday to Friday. This role is suited to candidates looking for a fulltime position and able to work on a rotational roster within those business hours (i.e., no set shifts)
If/when you are assigned, and work, an 8-hour shift that ceases at or after 7pm, one of the following evening payments will be payable to you (if claimed), in addition to your normal pay.
$6 gross per shift that ceases at 7pm
$13 gross per shift that ceases at 8pm
$20 gross per shift that ceases at or after 9pm
As your role is in a part of the business that serves the Australian market, you may be required to observe the public holidays of Australia instead of one or more NZ public holidays
You may have the ability to work from home a couple of days a week, following your initial training period.
You’ll be required to complete standard contact centre relevant online testing, which can be done from home.
All standard pre-employment checks will also be applicable.
