After successfully deploying our solution at some of the world’s leading tech companies & Enterprises (including many fortune 500 companies), we’re now looking to scale our US customer-facing team and are seeking a talented Solution Engineer to spearhead this effort.
Role Overview:
We’re looking for an exceptional generalist to join us as MetalBear’s first customer-facing hire. You’ll be excited to design, build, and lead the US arm of the customer function, and have a massively accelerated career trajectory.
You'll be joining MetalBear at an incredibly exciting time—right at the inflection point as we begin scaling rapidly. We're a seed-stage company backed by top-tier VCs. We’ve built an incredible & passionate team — every member was a top performer at their previous business.
As MetalBear’s first US Solution Engineer, you will own the entire customer journey—from initial engagement and onboarding through ongoing customer success. Acting as the primary point of contact, you'll expertly navigate pre-sales demonstrations, execute Proof-of-Concepts (POCs), manage deployments, and ensure our customers continually derive maximum value from our platform.
You'll work directly with our CEO and VP GTM initially, rapidly developing into the customer expert and go-to advisor for all things MetalBear. The role will dynamically evolve, providing ample opportunities for growth and specialization based on your strengths and interests.

Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Ownership: Lead pre-sales activities including demos, POCs, product configuration, and onboarding, seamlessly transitioning customers into successful long-term partnerships.
- Customer Success: Build trusted relationships with customers at every level, ensuring high satisfaction, retention, and growth through strategic upselling and proactive problem-solving.
- Operational Excellence: Create scalable processes, documentation, and best practices to streamline future customer onboarding, deployments, and support interactions.
- Product Expertise: Become deeply knowledgeable about MetalBear's platform to effectively advise customers and contribute significantly to product roadmap discussions based on customer insights.
- Voice of the Customer: Actively gather feedback and insights from customers, relaying key information back to internal teams to drive continuous product and process improvements.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in high-performing environments (e.g., startups, scale-ups, consulting, banking, professional services, or entrepreneurial ventures).
- Proven capability or potential to excel in customer-facing roles, demonstrating gravitas, professionalism, and a passion for delivering exceptional client experiences.
- Track record of high achievement in professional, academic, or personal endeavors.
- Tech-savvy and eager to learn new products, tools, and technical skills quickly—comfortable engaging in technical discussions and problem-solving.
- Your onboarding will be accelerated if you have hands-on experience with major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure), microservices architecture (K8S), some coding skills
- You thrive in execution mode and are driven by seeing tangible outcomes—comfortable diving straight into tasks without needing detailed guidance or oversight
- You're detail-oriented and analytically sharp, you dig into data and consistently deliver precise, high-quality results
- Commercially intuitive with excellent relationship-building skills, comfortable interacting confidently with stakeholders ranging from developers to senior executives.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, capable of balancing tactical execution with strategic thinking.
- Exceptional communicator with clear, concise verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated and ambitious, driven by a desire to build a successful career and make an outsized impact at an early-stage startup.
- Experience in sales/pre sales/customer success (quota-carrying roles) highly desirable but not mandatory.
