We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Pharmacy Technician Intake Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately entering patient and prescription information into our pharmacy system, coordinating the intake process, and ensuring seamless communication between patients, healthcare providers, and the pharmacy team.

Job Description

  • Data Entry: Accurately enter patient information, prescription details, and other relevant data into the pharmacy management system.
  • Intake Coordination: Manage the intake process for new patients, including collecting necessary documentation and verifying insurance information.
  • Communication: Serve as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and the pharmacy team to ensure timely and accurate processing of prescriptions.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain and update patient records, ensuring all information is current and accurate.
  • Compliance: Ensure all data entry and intake processes comply with HIPAA regulations and other relevant laws and guidelines.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and resolving any issues related to prescription processing.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with pharmacists and other pharmacy staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; pharmacy technician license.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a pharmacy setting or data entry role preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Proficient in using pharmacy management software and other relevant computer applications.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of medical terminology and pharmacy operations

Schedule:

  • Full-time, 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday

Shift availability:

  • Day Shift (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
