Job Responsibilities
- Contribute to the management of client social media accounts and texting programs: growing social followings, collecting SMS opt-ins, and raising money online.
- Take the first pass at gathering data for reports, both internal and client-facing.
- Create content and post on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and other client social media platforms with a consistent, robust, and responsive posting cadence for each platform.
- Create graphics and short-form videos for social media platforms.
- Research issues relevant to our clients to identify salient topics and content for social media posts and graphics.
- Manage texting production and develop other assets, such as mobile flows, landing pages, donation pages, and more.
- Provide support to client leads on texting acquisition, including organizing materials, drafting copy, and updating vendors.
- Draft fundraising copy for text messages.
- Support the social & texting team on various projects.
- Remain plugged in to political news and overall trends in progressive politics and social media – including trending templates, sounds, memes, and more.
- Learn best practices for social media & text message fundraising, messaging campaigns, and platforms as they integrate into the entire digital program and into an organization’s mission.
- Other responsibilities as requested.
- Interest in professional social media management for political campaigns as well as online fundraising to help elect progressives
- Demonstrated commitment to and knowledge of progressive politics
- Demonstrated knowledge of social media platforms and trends
- Strong copywriting skills
- Ability to write and adapt copy for various social media platforms
- Writing is free of errors
- Ability to adapt writing to conform to client voices and perspectives
- Attention to detail while managing tight deadlines and multiple content calendars
- Basic graphic design and video editing skills preferred but not required
- Salary starts between $58,735 - $62,000
