Job Description

As part of the Hockey Sales Team, your focus will be selling group tickets, season tickets, partial plans, and premium seats as well as coordinating and promoting group events to support our Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Marlies ticketing team at Scotiabank Arena and Coca-Cola Coliseum. This includes, but is not limited to prospecting new business, working with current clients, hosting at Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Marlies games as well as collaborating with all ticketing verticals within our teams to enhance the ticketing business. To be successful in this role, you must be a proactive, goal-oriented individual who thrives in a high-paced business environment and shares our common purpose to unite and empower employees to create extraordinary moments for our fans and each other.

  • We are a ‘team first’ culture so your first responsibility is to be a great teammate. Each member of our sales team takes an equal share in developing and preserving a positive and collaborative group dynamic; this is the foundation of our success.
  • Supporting Toronto Marlies and Toronto Maple Leafs ticketing objectives.
  • Identify group sales and season seat prospects by executing call campaigns, cold calling, emailing, and face-to-face appointments.
  • Develop and execute group ticket sales events and promotions for the Toronto Marlies.
  • Develop and execute new business initiatives to drive our Toronto Marlies Season Seat base.
  • Meet or exceed Hockey Sales revenue objectives.
  • You will need to be prepared to shift focus as the demands of the business evolve. This could include supporting with Toronto Maple Leaf and Toronto Marlies playoffs, or any of our other teams.
  • Prepare and implement presentations to prospective clients.
  • Develop strong relationships with minor hockey organizations to support our ticketing plan.
  • Manage the ticket system including accurate ticket administration and balancing of the financial process.
  • You will be required to master our CRM system, Salesforce, as a tool to help guide your daily behaviors and measure the progression of your sales funnel.
  • Fulfill Toronto Maple Leafs & Toronto Marlies match day responsibilities including but not limited to greeting clients, helping with lead prospecting initiatives and managing pre-and post-game activations.

Qualifications

  • A self-starter with a professional demeanor and presence.
  • Alert and receptive to shifting demands within a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Comfortable and capable of delivering within a fast-paced environment, using time management and organizational skills.
  • 1-2 years of experience in developing sales and service relationships is ideal.
  • Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Displays confidence and ability to make sales calls.
  • Proven track record of building and developing professional relationships.
  • Skillful at listening, understanding, and communicating in detail.
  • Willingness to coach and be coached with the bravery to take risks and learn from the results.
  • Highly motivated individual with a strong desire to build a career in the sports business
  • Proven to perform well under tight timelines; prioritize simultaneously.
  • Confident user of Microsoft 360 - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • TicketMaster and/or ARCHTICS knowledge is an asset but not essential.
  • Salesforce knowledge would be an asset.
