Mount is redefining travel by connecting like-minded travelers with hidden gems worldwide. We’ve built a thriving community of 170K+ travelers and partnered with Airbnb hosts, local businesses, and content creators to promote sustainable, authentic experiences. As a fast-growing startup, we’re looking for a Founding Account Executive to help us scale by selling advertising and promotional opportunities to independent local businesses. This role will have a direct hand in helping us achieve the KPIs needed to raise a Series A.
You’ll be instrumental in building Mount’s sales strategy from the ground up. This role is perfect for a driven and entrepreneurial sales leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited about shaping the future of travel experiences. You’ll work closely with our CEO and marketing team to refine our go-to-market strategy and grow our customer base. Your primary responsibility will be to grow revenue, You will be responsible for managing the full sales cycle, including prospecting, qualifying, presenting, and closing deals. What You’ll Do
- Sell advertising solutions: Work with independent local businesses to promote their unique offerings to Mount’s advertising channels.
- Own the full sales cycle: From prospecting to closing deals, you’ll manage every stage of the sales process.
- Build a pipeline: Identify and qualify leads among independent local businesses, family-run establishments, and other unique enterprises that align with Mount’s mission.
- Develop relationships: Understand customer pain points and clearly communicate how Mount’s advertising solutions solve them.
- Collaborate with the team: Provide feedback to the product and marketing teams to refine advertising offerings and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Create scalable systems: Establish sales processes, tools, and playbooks to lay the foundation for future growth.
- Achieve sales targets: Consistently meet or exceed revenue goals while delivering value to customers.
- Experience: 3+ years in a sales role, with experience selling advertising or promotional opportunities preferred.
- Proven track record: Demonstrated success meeting and exceeding sales targets, particularly with small or independent businesses.
- Entrepreneurial mindset: Comfortable with ambiguity and excited to build systems and processes from the ground up.
- Excellent communicator: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Customer-focused: Passion for understanding customer needs and delivering exceptional solutions.
- Team player: Thrives in a collaborative environment and is willing to roll up their sleeves to help wherever needed.
