Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description

NBCUniversal is seeking an Analyst to join the Streaming Monetization team. You will be focused on supporting Planning with comprehensive data analysis.

As an Analyst, you will leverage data driven insights to identify trends, uncover opportunities, and solve challenges that directly impact NBCUniversal. As part of the Streaming Monetization team, you will work on providing information that drives overall yield and value to Platform Monetization and to NBCUniversal.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create weekly reports for senior leadership using data analysis to identify trends and communicate clear areas that need focus.
  • Evaluate yield strategy effectiveness through data-driven insights and report findings to Planning leadership.
  • Track and analyze KPI’s for Streaming Monetization leadership team, as well as OKR’s that Platform Monetization wants to track as part of annual goals.
  • Communicate findings effectively, both verbally and in written form, including executive-ready presentations.
  • Inform decision-making by visually and verbally synthesizing data into easy-to-consume storylines for both operational and executive audiences.
  • Support standard reporting needs to provide visibility into the health of the Ad Sales business.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to answer critical, time-sensitive business questions, identifying areas of strategic opportunity.
  • Maintain deliverables within Excel and PowerPoint for recurring meetings and communication around product and client performance.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively on critical projects, including strategic planning and yield optimization analyses.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years' of experience, preferably in Analytics, Ad Sales, or publisher/supply side.
  • Experience in Excel Analytics and enjoys analyzing data in spreadsheets and databases daily.
  • Expert in Excel is required, with a willingness to learn and improve in this area.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to derive conclusions and recommendations from raw data.
  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail, sense of curiosity, accountability, and ability to execute projects of all sizes with vision and purpose.
  • Ability to deliver on multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Team oriented and collaborative with an aptitude and willingness to learn.

Additional Requirements

  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks. Salary range: $70,000 - $75,000.
