Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description

The Position:

NBCUniversal Advertising Platforms & Operations (AP&O) is responsible for the product development, project management, and day-to-day operations of NBCUniversal’s full advertising technology suite. From product management to program management to sales operations, our division services both internal and external customers in support of NBCUniversal’s $10B+ annual advertising business. Together, we’re building the platform that powers the future of advertising at NBCU.

The Platform Solutions team provides support and builds business solutions for Sales, Planning, Marketing, Research, Account Management, and Finance departments across a national and global ad sales landscape. The Business Analyst will support NBCUniversal’s National Ad Sales team in the development and execution of all Ad Sales processes in Salesforce.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Product Management, the person in this role will:

  • Support the existing NBCU Ad Sales process
  • Collaborate with National Sales, Marketing, Research, Finance, Account Management, and Sales Operations leaders on Ad Sales process enhancements
  • Validate proposed enhancements, evaluate technologies to support enhancements, and work with IT to implement changes
  • Share best practices with Platform Solutions and Salesforce Support team
  • Ensure accuracy of Ad Sales data (i.e., accounts, contacts, opportunities)
  • Execute data quality and data validation activities on a regular basis, including automatic and manual data cleansing
  • Ensure security and sharing settings are accurate for designated Salesforce users (i.e., role hierarchies, sharing rules, public groups)
  • Respond to escalated support tickets and research and rectify issues with L1 Support
  • Modify documentation as needed for supported properties, and work with Ad Sales’ Center of Excellence (COE) on changes to templates, training materials, quick reference guides, etc.
  • Remain current on vendor enhancements as new releases are introduced
  • Help maintain third-party vendor relationships and handle access for users across the portfolio
  • Field process questions and research issues such as client/agency reassignments, deal/opportunity ownership changes, incentive compensation issues, and invoice assignments
  • Collaborate with COE to deliver training for new hires and on new capabilities

Qualifications

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Salesforce (Admin preferred)
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Monday.com and/or similar project management tools
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail as well as the ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of knowledge of media and ad sales business
  • Experience successfully communicating at all levels
  • Proven facilitation skills and ability to work with multi-functional teams (business and IT)
  • Proven ability to be both strategic and tactical
  • Demonstrated ability to think proactively and manage multiple projects
  • Must be comfortable learning new systems and technical skills
  • Advanced Excel skills a plus

Additional Information:

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks. Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000
