Executive Assistant/Program Coordinator, Dateline (PEP)

Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Dateline is seeking an Executive Assistant/Program Coordinator to assist in all aspects of production of long form content. The Executive Assistant/Program Coordinator will support the Senior Executive Producer of Dateline NBC and NBC News Studios.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the Senior Executive Producer’s Outlook calendar by scheduling confidential meetings with high level internal/external production executives, talent and Dateline/NBC News Studios/Audio team members; moving & rescheduling meetings accordingly
• Book travel, create itineraries and compile expense reports for the Senior Executive Producer & other Dateline correspondents using Concur & BCD Travel
• Create presentations/slide decks for high level meetings using Microsoft PowerPoint and/or Canva
• Provide A/V support, booking conference rooms for meetings and on-site shoots
• Supply catering for on-site events
• Aid in long-form news/documentary production as needed
• Provide other miscellaneous administrative support to the Senior Executive Producer such as fielding phone calls, project research and keeping track of Dateline/NBC News Studios/Audio screeners 

• At least 1 year of journalism experience
• Must have a Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field
• Willing to commit to the role for a minimum of 2 years
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY

Additional Requirements:

• Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

What we’ll offer: Production Employee (PEP) Regular who works more than 1,000 hours per measurement period:  

• Eligible for 401K after 1,000 hours worked in 12 consecutive months  
• Eligible for Health and Welfare benefits on 1st day of employment  
• Eligible to participate in Employee Stock Purchase Program after 90 days of employment 

Salary range: $20-$23/hr
