Hybrid/home based with office visits depending upon location
We are seeking a Software Developer to work on some of our challenging projects with the UK Government. Our development includes regular changes arising from new legislation as well as high-profile changes and new software to allow our customers to quickly implement government schemes. Our software provides essential assistance to citizens and businesses throughout the UK.
This role involves developing Oracle Web-based applications supplied to local authorities and central government clients in the UK and providing technical support for these applications. The solutions are delivered as on-premise applications or as hosted SAAS solutions. Primary required skills are Oracle and PL-SQL along with Oracle Apex.
Essential Experience:
· Proven track record of full life cycle development of large applications using an Oracle database and toolset
· Solid PL/SQL skills, with experience of writing design specifications, problem solving and performance tuning
· Appreciation of application and data security
· Must be eligible for UK Security Clearance
Desirable:
· Experience of Oracle Apex, javascript, HTML and CSS
· Experience with technologies including XML, JSON, SOAP, REST
· Experience of Pro C
· Experience of Java
· Relevant Computer Science or Technical Degree
