NEON is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business Affairs Coordinator to join our dynamic team in either New York or Los Angeles. This role will be integral in supporting the Business Affairs department by managing a variety of administrative tasks and facilitating communication across teams to ensure smooth operations.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Serve as primary point of contact for BA administrative needs, including scheduling of internal, inter-departmental, and external meetings as requested
- Oversee and maintain signature collection, contract management, and internal document file systems across all verticals
- Review paper delivery intake as well as external delivery to sub-distributors and ROW partners
- Track and process ongoing payments related to acquisitions, development, and production projects
- Maintain and circulate a variety of internal BA tracking documents
- Overseeing corporate insurance renewal process, and facilitating internal requests for COIs, etc. with brokers
- Corporate work, including forming corporations, obtaining federal tax ID numbers for new subsidiaries, drafting internal operating agreements
- Manage copyright & UCC filings, lien search processes, and copyright and title report requests
- Assist with quarterly reporting for company’s credit facility, including updating all required schedules
- Potential to eventually draft and review music licenses, clip licenses, influencer agreements, venue rental agreements, and other agreements as needed
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Film Studies, Law, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in business affairs, legal, or administrative assistant roles, preferably in the entertainment industry.
- Experience in an office environment and a demonstrated interest in legal and business affairs is preferred but not required (internships/externships qualify)
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Must have a good work ethic and excellent problem-solving skills
- Proactive and anticipatory with exceptional attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and G-Suite
Compensation:
This position has a target annual pay range of $70,000. Compensation may vary based on factors including experience, education, and internal equity.
