Job Description

The primary role of the Clinical Supervisor is to provide clinical supervision for Therapists and Interns, as well as direct clinical services as assigned by the Administrative team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical supervision for assigned staff, addressing development of diagnostic, treatment planning, and intervention skills, processing any countertransference issues, and the resolution of ethical/legal issues
  • Work alongside Human Resources and the training team to provide ongoing training to supervisees related to agency policies and procedures
  • Evaluates the quality of individual clinicians and helps to improve their clinical skills and documentation.
  • Reviews case records to ensure that staff is compliant with regulations and Agency policy concerning preparation of treatment plans, assessments and progress notes
  • Review supervisees’ documentation, correct errors, and educate supervisees as to documentation requirements
  • Assist in coordination, development, and/or oversight for selected services or programs, as assigned
  • Reviews case records to ensure that progress notes are current and appropriate
  • Participate in case reviews following psychiatric hospitalization and incident reports
  • Prepare written evaluations, Corrective Action Plans, and disciplinary actions for individual workers, as required
  • Provide program coverage and crisis intervention as needed
  • Hold regular supervision meetings with supervisees to discuss the status of individual cases and documents supervision in a log.
  • Ensures that clients are treated at an appropriate level of care and utilization of services is clinically appropriate.
  • Monitors high risk clients on clinicians’ caseloads and ensures an appropriate caseload size.
  • Reviews and approves cases for discharge.
  • Participates in supervisory conferences with the Administrator and other supervisors to discuss issues in the program
  • Assist with training of new and existing staff
  • Be on-call for selected weekends and evenings
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday (Hybrid)

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree from an accredited school in Social Work
  • Must possess a New York State LCSW certification
  • SIFI certification and experience supervising Interns is a plus
  • 5 years of Clinical Experience working with Inpatient or Outpatient Mental Health
  • Previous Supervisory Experience is a plus
  • Able to be on-call during off-hours and weekends by cell phone; available for consultation on an as-needed basis
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred, but not required
  • Outstanding engagement, interpersonal communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively with other disciplines, including clinical and clerical staff
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task is required
  • Strong demonstration of professionalism
  • Takes initiative, prioritizes, and adjusts to change well
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that are timely and effective
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in Microsoft Teams
  • Able to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Dedicated to workplace mentorship, education, and team-based care
  • Maintains a positive attitude and is friendly, upbeat, and has a great “can do” personality

Additional Information

Salary: $95,000-$105,000 per year

Compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications.
