Logistics Representative

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Logistics Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of logistics, including order management, transportation scheduling, import/export documentation, and waste management. This role involves close collaboration with the supply chain, customer care, carriers, and production plants to ensure seamless execution of inbound and outbound logistics operations. 

Your key responsibilities will be: 

• Scheduling and coordinating transportation with carriers for deliveries to and from customers, warehouses, and plants, ensuring that constraints such as maximum loads and time slots are taken into account,

• Initiating and managing shipments, working with carriers to resolve issues related to availability, lead times, or locations,

• Maintaining weekly planning of dedicated bulk trucks and ensure accurate data entry in the ERP system and Transwide,

• Obtaining required documents from government agencies, chambers of commerce, embassies, insurers, and banks, as well as managing and reviewing letters of credit for compliance,

• Entering intercompany orders into JDE based on supply chain information, and coordinate import and export processes, including reviewing and adjusting orders as necessary. 

• Managing licenses, permits, and documentation for waste recycling and transport. Ensure compliance with national and international regulations and liaise with authorities to arrange necessary permits,

• Addressing and resolving complaints and issues such as damaged materials and late deliveries. Review daily reports to identify and rectify missed or delayed shipments,

• Coordinating the transport of hazardous materials, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with all regulations. Managing acceptance and inspection processes as needed,

• Supporting and initiating process improvements within the supply chain. 

• Bachelor’s Degree: In Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field,
• Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in logistics operations,
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Fluency in Dutch and knowledge of German are advantageous,
• Strong experience with ERP systems and MS Office 365,
• Ability to troubleshoot and quickly develop solutions while balancing daily responsibilities,
• Eagerness to provide excellent service to both internal and external customers,
• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at various levels and functions within the organization. Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Dutch and knowledge of German are a plus,
• In-depth understanding of national and international rules and regulations, particularly concerning waste management.
