Numeral is a payment technology provider that enables fintechs, payment services providers, and banks to launch new products, expand geographically, comply with payment regulations, and scale their operations with Numeral's cloud-native, API-first payments platform.
We develop and run direct integrations with a network of 30+ partner banks (including BNP Paribas, Barclays, Citi, HSBC, Banking Circle, LHV…) that can all be accessed through a single API, webhooks, and dashboard.
Customers include leading and up-and-coming fintechs like Spendesk, Swile, Alma, WorldFirst, Argentex, Deblock, and 20+ others. We have processed more than 4m payments since our first payment in 2023 and will process more than 10m payments over the next 12 months.
Founded in July 2021, Numeral has been acquired by leading core banking system provider Mambu in December 2024. Mambu’s composable core banking system complements Numeral’s API-first payments platform perfectly. The role
As a Solutions Engineer at Numeral, you will play a critical role in supporting the entire sales cycle, from lead creation to deal closing, working alongside Account Executives to ensure prospects fully understand the value of Numeral’s solutions. You will act as a bridge between partnerships, product, engineering, and implementation teams.
Numeral offers two key solutions: a managed bank connectivity platform and a payments hub. Our product operates at the intersection of banks' cash management channels and customers' internal systems. Every prospect – whether a modernising incumbent or a new player – requires tailored solutions engineering to maximise the value of the Numeral platform and accelerate their implementation and time-to-market.
You will collaborate with fintechs, banks, our parent company Mambu, and our bank and technology partners. As an integral part of the lead-to-opportunity conversation, you will not only showcase the transformative benefits of reinventing payment infrastructure with Numeral, but also help unlock greater deal potential.
Aligned with our challenger sales philosophy, you will work proactively with Account Executives and prospects to design architectures that deliver the greatest value to our customers, contributing to both their success and Numeral’s growth.
At Numeral, we embrace a strong hybrid working culture with the flexibility to work remotely or from any Mambu office (Paris, London, Amsterdam…). While you can choose your preferred work style, travel across Europe may be required up to once a month, typically for team meetings or supporting Account Executives to close deals with prospects. Please note that our remote working policy applies to residents of the UK or EU countries who hold valid working visas.
The role- Product demonstrations and presentations – Deeply understand Numeral’s platform from both technical and functional perspectives to conduct tailored product demonstrations and presentations that address the specific needs of prospects and customers.
- Target state solution / scoping workshops – Collaborate with Account Executives and prospective customers to identify their target payment state and determine how Numeral fits into their overall solution architecture.
- Solutions design – Create custom solutions by leveraging the Numeral platform, as well as our software and banking partners, to deliver innovative value for prospects and customers.
- Assist with RFIs / RFPs – Apply your in-depth knowledge of Numeral’s platform and its business applications to craft best-in-class responses to Requests for Information and Proposals.
- Product-led presales – Guide prospects in accessing and exploring the sandbox environment, supporting their testing and evaluation processes. Highlight product capabilities and ease of integration to maximise deal value and increase the likelihood of winning the opportunity.
- Handover with implementation – Ensure a seamless transition of new projects to the implementation team and collaborate with product management to address any required features, changes, or enhancements.
- Support product and marketing – Contribute to the creation of insights and collateral such as demo videos, sales demo environments, case studies, blog posts, and other marketing materials.
- Sales-to-product feedback loop: Act as a key feedback channel to align Numeral’s product roadmap with insights gathered from prospects, customers, and partners, ensuring continuous improvement and market relevance.
Your profile- Banking and / or fintech expertise – You have a solid understanding of banking and/or payments, which you can effectively leverage to support our prospects and customers. If you lack direct experience in these areas, you demonstrate a strong willingness to learn, with examples of how you’ve successfully mastered new subject matters in the past.
- Relevant qualification and experience: You have a relevant qualification or at least 5-7 years of experience in a product, presales, or implementation role at an enterprise technology company or in consulting.
- Strategic thinking – You excel at breaking down complex integration projects into manageable parts, quickly identifying and addressing bottlenecks to keep initiatives on track.
- Curious and quick Learner – You have a passion for understanding how things work in depth and a strong desire to expand your knowledge – particularly in the payments domain continuously.
- Detail-oriented – You thrive on getting into the technical details of complex systems and preparing solutions that enable accelerated implementations.
- Simplification skills – You can distil complex, technical solutions into clear, simple, and actionable messages for stakeholders at all levels.
- Influential and persuasive – You have the ability to navigate organisations and influence technical decisions effectively, collaborating seamlessly with implementation teams and decision-makers.
- Think beyond execution – While managing your business-as-usual tasks, you actively think about ways to improve processes, drive efficiency, and scale impact to achieve better, faster, and bigger outcomes.
- Native or near-bilingual English proficiency – You communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken, and can confidently interact with stakeholders at all levels.
