POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The GME/Research Assistant is a full-time, in-person, hybrid role reporting to both the Executive Director of GME and the Director of Research. This individual is responsible for assisting with GME initiatives assigned by the Executive Director and assisting with the daily operations of the OCOM Research Department under the direction of the Research Director. They will collect and provide data to leadership for COCA accreditation compliance, stay current on ACGME Institutional and Common Program Requirements, and schedule GME planning meetings. Additionally, the GME/Research Assistant will support OCOM faculty and student research projects, scholarly activities, and grant management while providing hands-on assistance to the Research Director.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains accurate and complete meeting minutes for GME and Research meetings.
- Assists with preparation of Program Letters of Agreements (PLAs) with partnering hospitals upon requests.
- Assists in managing GME Planning Meetings with the medical students upon request.
- Assist with managing the graduate medical education programs accredited by the ACGME in meeting the requirements of osteopathic recognition.
- Assist with the preparation of all GME invoices.
- Participate in all GME and Research meetings.
- Assist with manuscript submission to medical journals under the guidance of the Research Director
- Daily attention to list of ongoing manuscript submissions and tracking progress.
- Maintain a roster of faculty and student scholarly activity including published articles, book chapters, and abstracts; and research presented at national and regional meetings.
- Maintain a roster of faculty research compliance with CITI and/or other training.
- Update the research website with resources, and highlights of faculty scholarly activity, after clearance from the research director and communications director.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
