As part of Okta’s GTM Strategy & Operations team, we protect the investment in Okta’s rapidly growing Sales organization by ensuring Sales has the insights, tools and processes to run effectively and efficiently. This specific role is part of our Compensation Strategy & Incentive Design team which is responsible for governing and administering Okta’s global incentive plans and compensation programs for the GTM Sales & Customer First Sales teams. 

As a Compensation Strategy & Incentive Design Analyst, you’ll partner closely with Commission Operations & People Operations in order to streamline our commission processes and analytics that serve the business. You will be responsible for supporting the GTM Sales Organization and ensuring that sales opportunity splits are accurate in SFDC for commissions and crediting. You’ll also collaborate with other GTM Strategy & Operations colleagues to implement compensation solutions including Sales Planning & Analytics, Sales Enablement, Field Sales Operations and Customer First Operations. 

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Become an expert on our Incentive Plans, and sales crediting, and commission related processes and policies. 
  • Responsible for GTM Sales support for opportunity splits and sales crediting 
  • Reconcile, analyze, and report on SFDC Opportunity data and commissions payments
  • Responsible for commission credit disputes, reconciliation and analysis
  • Perform front line user support for our commissions/sales inquiries
  • Crossfuncitonal ad hoc reporting projects for compensation analytics supporting sales roles, operations and plan design metrics
  • Data governance and maintain documentation for all processes and controls

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of operational experience, with at least 1 year in an analytical role, sales operations or commissions operations capacity.
  • Experience with SaaS companies and/or supporting large Strategic/Enterprise accounts preferred. 
  • Comfort with tools that create and house our data:
    • Incentive Compensation Management tools, (Xactly)
    • Sales productivity tools (Salesforce, Slack, Clari).
    • Anaplan or other business planning software.
    • Tableau or other analysis / business intelligence software.
    • Excel or Google Sheets. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Healthy skepticism and curiosity - seeks feedback with an open mind and strives for deeper understanding through data.
  • The desire and capacity to work both independently and collaboratively, and virtually. 
  • Self starter that seeks solutions without being told. Delivers high quality, accurate work on time.
