The Business Technology Team

This role joins the Business Technology organization and plays a critical part in realizing our vision to accelerate the delivery of business outcomes across Okta by driving clarity, collaboration, and accountability in everything we do. We enable the broader Business Technology organization in the mission to “Accelerate Okta’s Scale and Growth”.

The IT Support Engineer Opportunity

In this role, you will be responsible for speedy issue resolution for employee IT issues, proactive improvements, and having a strong customer first mindset. You will also support the team by working closely with the BT support team through daily stand-ups, and regular reporting to senior leadership. You will be responsible for new employee onboarding experience and ensure we have seamless and secure offboarding experience.  You will also have the opportunity to develop leadership skills through project coordination and collaboration.

What you’ll be doing 

  • Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving Level 1 to Level 3 technical support tickets.
  • New Employee Orientation- Facilitating the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition and seamless integration into the company culture and workflow.
  • Assist with inventory and asset management, including receiving, assembling, and maintaining hardware, while ensuring accurate tracking and ongoing oversight of all assets.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in IT support or a related technical role required.
  • Possesses in-depth expertise in both Windows and Mac OS platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with procurement and finance teams to ensure alignment on purchasing strategies and budgetary goals.
  • Positive and growth mindset to the team and our customers.

And extra credit if you have experience in any of the following! 

  • Possess in-depth knowledge of Okta, Jamf, and Intune for effective management and security of user identities, devices, and applications.
  • Skilled in providing support to executives and high-profile stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting AV events - which includes Zoom Admin experience.

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:
$74,000$110,000 USD
