Role: Project Manager 

Location: Grand Rapids, MI – Hybrid/Onsite (2-3x/week) 

About the role: 

OLIVER is partnering with BISSELL to build an in-house agency that will set new standards for creative excellence and marketing efficiency. As a Project Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the successful execution of projects that support brand, marketing, and communication strategies for BISSELL. This role requires strong project management expertise, including timeline management, resource allocation, stakeholder coordination, and process optimization. You will work closely with account teams, creative teams, and client stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with the client’s business objectives. Additionally, you will explore GenAI tools to enhance workflow efficiencies, automate repetitive tasks, and improve project tracking. What you will be doing: 

  • Work closely with the Business Director, Studio Manager, and Creative team to understand project requirements and ensure alignment with briefs. 
  • Take ownership of integrated creative projects, from initial briefing to final execution. 
  • Collaborate with account and creative teams to establish key project milestones, schedules, and resource plans. 
  • Liaise with clients to define campaign scope, producing detailed estimates and schedules. 
  • Identify and manage opportunities for project optimization, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness. 
  • Develop and manage timing plans and estimates using internal tracking systems. 
  • Monitor project progress, identifying and resolving roadblocks, process gaps, and challenges. 
  • Communicate project updates, status reports, and risk assessments to senior management and client stakeholders. 
  • Ensure seamless handover of work between teams, managing dependencies and workflows effectively. 
  • Assign and schedule projects based on internal resource availability, sourcing external resources as needed. 
  • Ensure projects adhere to agency processes, compliance standards, and budget constraints. 
  • Motivate and manage teams, ensuring high-quality work under tight deadlines. 
  • Educate internal teams and stakeholders on best practices for production processes. 
  • Regularly report on project performance, budget tracking, and scheduling updates to senior leadership. 
  • Ensure quality control by providing feedback and guidance to project teams. 
  • Escalate any billing or estimate-related issues to the account lead as needed. 

What you need to be great in this role: 

  • 3+ years of project management experience in an advertising agency, marketing agency, or equivalent environment. 
  • Experience managing multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital, email, print, social, and Point-of-Purchase (POP) projects. 
  • Strong understanding of creative production workflows, including photo, video, and CGI production. 
  • Expertise in project management tools such as Workfront, Monday, Wrike, or other market-leading workflow solutions used in creative environments. 
  • Ability to track and deliver projects on time, within budget, and to client expectations. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex projects. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work across teams and present ideas clearly. 
  • Detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. 
  • Interest in AI-driven workflow automation and the potential of GenAI tools in optimizing project management tasks. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Mac OS. 
  • Experience with budget management and scheduling, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks effectively. 
  • Strong track record in optimizing project workflows and ensuring cross-functional alignment. 
  • Understanding of new media and advertising trends, with the ability to leverage insights in project execution. 
  • Experience sourcing production resources, ensuring quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. 
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and performance metrics to inform project strategies. 
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills, ensuring the best possible outcomes for projects. 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with an eagerness to improve processes and enhance team efficiency. 
  • Ability to problem-solve under pressure, adapting quickly to project changes and challenges. 
  • Interest in AI-powered workflow automation, with a willingness to explore GenAI-driven efficiencies.. 
  • At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $55,250.00 to $61,750.00. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of OLIVER’s total compensation package.
