Marketing Manager

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an ambitious, commercially-savvy Marketing Manager to lead the performance and brand strategy for one of our key university partners. This is a 12-month maternity leave contract with the potential to make real impact — managing a multi-million-dollar annual budget and working across a high-performing, cross-functional team.

You will be the strategic and executional lead for a single university partner, managing campaign performance end-to-end, and driving high-quality student acquisition through sharp creative and smart media investment.

This is a 12 month fixed term parental leave contract.

About OES

OES is a vibrant and values led organisation, and we are passionate about enhancing lives through education. We work with university partners, training institutes, and professional bodies worldwide, to develop and enable immersive and engaging learning experiences. We empower our teams to be student focused, innovative and embrace change with a growth mindset to ensure we achieve our vision of being the world’s most impactful enabler of education. We encourage our people to grow and develop through teamwork and a diverse range of projects, programs and challenging work. We trust our people to deliver, so when you work with OES, you will join a team who are empowered to impact every day.

About You

We’re seeking a rare blend of brand and performance marketer - someone who understands that the two are not separate, and can blend insight, creativity, and commercial acumen into compelling, results-driven campaigns.

You will need:

  • Minimum 3+ years in marketing, with performance agency experience (non-negotiable)
  • Proven success managing digital media campaigns with CPL/CPA targets
  • Strong understanding of media channels, creative effectiveness, and lead funnels
  • Experience briefing and managing media and creative agencies
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong commercial acumen with a data-driven mindset
  • Experience balancing brand strategy and performance outcomes
  • Project management and campaign delivery expertise
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and team-oriented

The ideal candidate is:

  • Brings confident and constructive energy to complement the strengths of an existing, high-performing marketing team.
  • Demonstrates a strategic leadership style characterised by clarity, decisiveness, and emotional intelligence — someone who is assertive yet collaborative, driven yet humble, with the ability to inspire through influence rather than authority.
  • Possesses a strong analytical and detail-oriented mindset — ideally with a systems-based approach to problem-solving and campaign optimisation, bringing precision and structure to complex marketing environments.
  • Comes from a performance agency background with experience running CPL and CPA-driven campaigns, and working directly with creative and media teams.
  • A natural team builder and collaborator, who enjoys mentoring a Marketing Coordinator and growing others alongside their own success
  • A confident stakeholder manager who can own the room with commercial leaders, translate data into action, and lead projects with confidence.
  • Strategic and driven - someone who sees the big picture, but executes with care and integrity

If you're the kind of person who combines high standards with good energy, and knows how to lead teams and campaigns from both an analytical and creative perspective - this is the perfect role.

What’s in it for you?

Along with joining a passionate, energetic and highly skilled team, this role will allow you to gain exposure to many growth and development opportunities. OES offers a hybrid, flexible approach to work, where we work 2-3 days from our state-of-the-art Cremorne office, and the rest from home (or wherever you choose!). Breakfast, snacks, table tennis, Nintendo Switch are all available in the office, as well as an in-house massage therapist and weekly staff drinks. Ultimately, you will be joining a values-driven, collaborative business where your creativity and innovation will be nurtured and celebrated.
