Senior Manager, Patient Strategy & Insights
The Senior Manager, Strategy & Insights, supports the development and execution of patient engagement plans for our life science industry clients. You will be responsible for understanding the disease state, patient experience, treatment landscape, and client brand challenges to ensure engagement plans address unmet needs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
In this role you will add value by:
- Developing patient/caregiver engagement plans and recommendations
- Identifying key insights about patient communities and disease experience
- Analyzing brand/client challenges and goals
- Generating unique recommendations to leverage the voice of patients/caregivers to support the client’s goals
- Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and clients to build and refine recommendations
- Supporting the internal team in the execution of engagement plans to ensure pull-through of strategy/recommendations
- Leading patient and caregiver co-creation and insights initiatives
- Identifying key objectives and recruitment needs
- Developing questionnaires and discussion guides
- Conducting desk research such as landscape analysis and social media listening
- Facilitating 1:1 patient/caregiver interviews and group sessions as needed
- Developing compelling insights reports to identify unmet needs and intervention points
- Serving as the strategic thought partner for clients to ensure patient/caregiver voice is pulled through identified tactics
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or other Social Science; Management or Business degree preferred but not required
- 4+ years' experience in a strategy, planning, and or/insights role
- Strong listening, presentation, and written/oral communication skills
- Passion for improving patient experiences and education
- Experience supporting qualitative research (writing discussion guides, questionnaires, and insights reports)
- Ability to distill learnings and identify key insights
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to prioritize deliverables
- Problem-solving skills and ability to pivot thinking when circumstances change
- Excellent relationships with internal stakeholders and drive collaboration across the business unit
- Ability to clearly communicate and justify ideas and recommendations
- Skilled in visual/PPT presentation
- Experience in biopharmaceutical patient marketing (client or agency side), with a focus on rare/ultra-rare diseases
