Drive strong collaboration and alignment up, down, and across the organization
  • Customer Focus & Data-driven Decision Making: Advocate for the customer by gathering and analyzing feedback, conducting research, and leveraging data to drive product decisions. Identify gaps in experiences across channels and build solutions that will positively impact our key metrics. Implement A/B testing and experimentation to validate product enhancements and ensure exceptional user experiences.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and impact. Use data-driven insights to optimize product performance and make informed decisions.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate product vision, strategy, and updates to executive leadership, board members, and other key stakeholders. Present compelling business cases and demonstrate the value of product investments.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Technical proficiency: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
  • Strong track record: 5+ years of product management experience in high-growth environments, preferably in the financial services industry (FinTech, challenger bank, etc.), with a strong focus on customer-facing products and user experience. Any experience within the Collections space will be a bonus.
  • Experience working with business executives from many disciplines (compliance, risk, operations, fraud, technology, business intelligence, finance, training, legal, cybersecurity, etc.) to understand the need, define features, and prioritize and manage scope to operate in an iterative agile delivery framework.
  • Customer-centric: You are passionate about improving the financial health of Oportun’s members.
